The following is a list of counties that have the Title and Registration telephone inquiry set-up with Tag-Talk which allows for inquiring on a vehicle by Vin Number, Title Number, or Tag Number. It is normally free for dealers within a county, but there are a few counties which do levy charges for their services. Find your county and get the appropriate phone number for signing up. This is a service provided to licensed dealers. If your county is not listed, you must find alternate sources for help such as the service offered by the State or call your local tag office.

The National Motor Vehicle Title Information Stystem (NMVTIS) is available for vehicle history information. You can also subscribe to a form of tag talk on line. If you would like to start using NMVTIS yourself, you can visit online with one of the approved providers AutoDataDirect, Inc at www.ADD123.com and sign-up. I have contacted them and have been assured that dealers who use a discount code of ADTI-ETR will not have to pay a start-up fee if they sign-up by April 30, 2010. They also offer a vehicle VIN/Tag/Title verification much like TagTalk (but more complete). These are the same people who provide Temporary Tags to dealers in Florida. If you need to sign-up for Vehicle Verification or Temporary Tags, the same discount code will work for them as well.
