- Download Adverse action notice creditors only have to provide a "notice of adverse action" if they deny a consumer's application for credit, based in whole or in part on information in a consumer's report. Download that notice here, free.
- Download Credit Score NOT Available notice creditors only have to provide this notice if the consumer does not have an actual credit score. Download that notice here, free.
- Download Risk Based Pricing Notice Risk Based Pricing rules were created by the federal government to alert consumers to the existence of negative information in their consumer credit reports so that they may make corrections if the information on the report is inaccurate. The new provision covers situations where the creditor does not deny credit, but offers it at materially less favorable terms or increases the APR after reviewing the consumer's account based on a consumer report.
- Download Red Flags rules for your dealership. Red Flags Rule is ready to be enforced. The Feds have had this requirement since 2008 but they really haven't enforced it. Now they are. If you have not put together a set of identity theft rules to comply with you should do it now. Or, you can take the easy way out and download a set for free. We have researched the rules and this is what we believe will work for vehicle dealers. To do things properly, you and all others who handle credit information, should read the rules and follow them.
- Download Privacy notice. A New Privacy Notice Is now required if you want to maintain your "safe harbor" protection for the disclosures required under the act. A safe harbor is a provision of a law that says that if you follow certain outlined steps you can reduce your liability under that law. So, if your notice to your customer follows the act's new outline you can reduce your responsibilities under the act. A sample of this notice is on our website here. Just replace your old notice format with this new format.
