Every two years, a VI (independent) dealer must complete 8 hours of continuing education. It can be done by:
* Listen to an Audio CD or MP/3 Player
* Listen or Read on-line
* Attend a class room lecture

Continuing Education can be done by mail, on-line or in a classroom. You make the choice. You can sign up on-line and pay by credit card or you can print an Application, fill it out and fax it to us. If you are unable to print the application, please telephone the ADTI office at 888-791-9511 so that we may sign you up over the phone. Once we process your application, you will be sent an email advising you about your User name and password. You will need those to sign-in and get started.
After you have listened to the course let us know that you are ready to take the test by completing an on-line Student Affidavit promising that you will not let anyone assist you in answering the questions on the test. Once we receive that affidavit you may sign back in and begin taking the test. Once you have completed your test and made a passing grade you will be allowed to print your certificate on-line to give to DMV. If you should fail the test, just log back in and take the test again with no additional charge. A sample test is available below just for practice.

Train To Become a Dealer
Everyone who wishes to be licensed as a motor vehicle dealer in the state of Florida must attend a certified school for a required number of hours.

All persons wanting a VI (retail) license to sell used vehicles must attend for two days. For any other type of license, one day is all that is required. Two day courses cost $140 pre-paid in advance or $160 at the door. One day courses cost $80 in advance or $90 at the door. Owners, Officers and full-time managers may use the course certificate to get an independent dealer license, but any employee may pay and attend just for the knowledge. Title clerks and office workers are encouraged to also attend for the knowledge and techniques discussed in the class. You will learn how to do financing, title processing, and registration to comply with state and federal requirements. We can also assist you in obtaining your bond and garage liability insurance. Our goal is to make you fully prepared to quickly and efficiently get your dealer license as soon as possible. We will give out certificates at the completion of class. There is no waiting. Casual clothes are fine. If all goes according to plan, you will be done in the early afternoon of the second day. There is a final exam consisting of fifty true-false questions. We promise that you will pass the test, or the next trip to school is at no cost. We've never had a failure.
Registration
We urge everyone to pre-register and pre-pay. This assists us in planning seating requirements and classroom materials and saves time for the instructor. We will guarantee seating for those who are pre-paid. We accept company checks and most major credit cards. We take credit cards and will register you on the internet or you can phone in your payment and registration today to assure there is a seat for you. If you prepay, and then something interferes with your plans, you can easily reschedule for another class.
